EIOC — collaborating from the beginning
The Electricity Infrastructure Operations Center (EIOC) serves as a focal point for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's electric transmission and distribution work. Before embarking on this project, we pulsed industry leaders in the Pacific Northwest to determine the real-world needs of utility companies and based on their feedback and our knowledge and history in these areas, we developed our vision for the center. We see the EIOC as a platform for developing sound, viable tools and technologies for operating the grid and moving them to market quickly and cost effectively.
